The Disneyland Hotel is our favorite hotel out of the 3 Disney hotels on property! There is just something about the hotel’s classic design and Disney details that make a trip to Disneyland way more magical, in our opinion. Even if you’re not planning a stay at the Disneyland Hotel, we recommend just strolling through the lobby to check out all the decor and fun things the hotel has to offer.
If you’re looking to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, read on for details!
Disneyland Hotel Towers and Accommodations
The Disneyland Hotel has three themed towers for guests to stay in – the Fantasy Tower (where the main lobby is), the Adventure Tower and the Frontier Tower. Each tower offers a variety of room options. Room options include standard view, deluxe view, premium view and premium Downtown Disney view.
There are also Club Service rooms which include access to the “E-Ticket Lounge” on the 11th floor of the Adventure Tower offering views of the park so guests can watch Disneyland fireworks with music piped through to the lounge!
The E-Ticket Lounge for Club Service guests is open from 6:30 am – 10:00 pm and also gives guests access to:
- Magical Beginnings (6:30-10 a.m.) – Continental breakfast bar with fresh pastries, fruit, cereal and beverages (unlimited access to goodies and beverages that you can pack for the parks in the morning!)
- Intermission (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.) – Light refreshments, snacks and beverages.
- Magic Hours (5-7 p.m.) – Hot and cold appetizers, along with wine and beer.
- Sweet Dreams (8-10 p.m.) – Desserts and beverages.
The last options for rooms include 1-3 bedroom suites or signature suites (can sleep up to a lot of kids and adults!).

Also lots of grass for kids to run wild outside the Adventure Tower!
Disneyland Hotel Pool
The pool at the Disneyland Hotel is amazing! Our kids could spend all day at this pool and quite frankly, we could to! Ha! All of the Disney details at the pool are so thought out and the atmosphere and grounds around the pool add something special to the whole relaxing experience.
The pool offers something for every age group – a big pool, kiddie pool play area, awesome Monorail slides (3 different sizes for all ages groups), and a Minnie Mouse hot tub! The pool also provides COMPLIMENTARY swim diapers (bonus!) and life vests for your little ones.
For poolside snacks, be sure to check out the pool menu from Tangaroa Terrace or stop by the snack cart located on the pool deck for various snacks and beverages.
Goofy sometimes visits the pool!
Your pool key gives you access to the pool for the ENTIRE day, that even includes after you’ve checked out – your family can spend the remainder of your checkout day at the pool and get the most out of your stay!

Tangaroa Terrace is a great breakfast, lunch or dinner spot! Guests can even grab food to take to the parks! You can check out the menu here.
Notice the egg on this Loco Moco breakfast is Mickey-shaped?! So perfect.
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar
Trader Sam’s is THE spot to go if you’re looking for a delicious and unique beverage (seriously, their drinks are so good). We love the atmosphere at this bar and kids can enjoy the delicious appetizers on the menu with their families until 8:00 PM (after 8:00 is 21 and up only). Also, the live Hawaiian music at night is amazing.
Goofy’s Kitchen is a fun character dining location for breakfast or dinner! To read more information from another post we have about the character dining details, click here.
The Coffee House
Grab a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, pastries, gourmet doughnuts, cereal, bagels, and even a Dole Whip or Dole Whip Float at the Coffee House! The Coffee House opens at 6:00 am.
Steakhouse 55 is a fancier restaurant option at the Disneyland Hotel. If you’re looking for a date night spot, this is the place for you! Steakhouse 55 also offers breakfast, afternoon tea Friday-Sunday (check throughout the year for different themed teas for special holidays, etc!), and a lounge if you’re looking for small bites and drinks.
Other Fun Things
Extra Magic Hour
If you’re staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, you and your family will get to enjoy the benefits of Extra Magic Hour! Extra Magic Hour is an extra hour in Disneyland or California Adventure, before general admission park opening. Guests of the hotels get early access to California Adventure on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and early access to Disneyland on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. To read all the details about Extra Magic Hour, you can read our post here.
Downtown Disney District
The Disneyland Hotel is located just a quick walk down the way from the Downtown Disney District, where guests can enjoy shopping and some really delicious restaurants!
A Magical Night at the Movies
On select nights, guests can plan to watch a Disney movie under the stars! There will be a sign posted in each tower sharing what movie and what time, but you can also ask a Cast Member the details upon check-in. We suggest getting to the viewing area when it opens which is 30 minutes before the movie starts. You can also bring any snacks/beverages (no glass) you’d like!
Get Up and Go Power Walk
A fast-paced 2-mile walk through California Adventure before park opening!
- Must be staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels to participate
- Power walk begins at 6:00 AM

Test your Disneyland knowledge by picking up a trivia sheet at the Guest Services desk in the main lobby (in the Fantasy Tower) and heading to Disneyland to find the answers! Once you’ve completed the trivia sheet, return it to a Cast Member at the Guest Services desk to receive your themed prize! There are four different trivia sheets for various attractions. Check out the super cute luggage tag prizes below!
A major bonus to staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels is being able to have any merchandise purchased at the parks delivered directly to your hotel. Just tell the Cast Member at the store you’re purchasing souvenirs at that you’d like to have your merchandise sent back to your hotel, and you can pick up the items at the Bell Services desk after 7:00 am the following day.
